iPhone vs Android — which ecosystem is truly worth it?

I've been on Android for 6 years and thinking of switching to iPhone mainly for the iMessage integration with my family. Is the ecosystem lock-in worth it or is it overrated?

The ecosystem is real but it's also a trap. Once you're in, leaving is painful. Make sure you actually use Apple services before committing.

Switched from Samsung to iPhone 2 years ago purely for FaceTime with family. Haven't looked back. The quality-of-life stuff like Handoff and AirDrop is genuinely useful day to day.
